Compete based repricing on Alpha Repricer
Compete based on pricing:
These settings tell the repricer how to come up with your price in relation to the four
competitor types like Amazon, FBA, SPF and MFN. The repricer computes a price for each of the four competitor types and then selects the lowest of the four as your final price.
For each competitor type there are four options:
- Beat by: Set your price below the competitor’s price by the specified amount, percentage, or both.
- Price higher by: Set your price above the competitor’s price by the specified amount, percentage, or both.
- Match: Set your price equal to the competitor’s price.
- Ignore: Do not compete with this competitor type.
Note:
- For computations that use percentage, the percentage applies to competitor’s Total Price, i.e., competitor’s Item Price plus their Item Shipping.
- The final price is kept within the range specified by your minimum and maximum prices.
- For each of the four competitor types, you will compete with the lowest price.
Best practice:
For your FBA listings, you will most likely want to set the four settings above differently than for your MFN or SFP listings. Use different profiles for each of your listing types to maximize your competitiveness for each.
Competition Scenarios:
For each type of sellers like Amazon, FBA, SPF and MFN, you can set up your Price Competition by using the options under the “Competition Scenarios” as mentioned below:
- No Competition: No competing offers available after filtering competitors.
- Below your Minimum: The picked offer is lower than your minimum price.
- Matches your Minimum: The picked offer is the same as your minimum price.
- If a Buy Box Winner: You are the Buy Box Winner.
For example: If there is a no competition then you can set your own price to “Average of Minimum and Maximum”, similarly if the competitor is a Buy Box Winner then you can “Compete as Normal”. In this way you can set your prices in bunch of several ways according to each seller type.
For each of the scenarios, you can set the rules available in the corresponding drop-down menu. The rules available in the drop-down are as follows. Not all the rules are applicable for every scenario:
- No Action: Do not change your price.
- Use Minimum: Use the item’s minimum price. Optionally add a fixed amount or a percentage of the Total Minimum.
- Use Maximum: Use the item’s maximum price. Optionally subtract a fixed amount or a percentage of the Total Maximum.
- Average of Minimum and Maximum: Use the average of the item’s minimum and maximum prices. Optionally add or subtract a fixed amount or a percentage of the Total Average.
- Compete with Next Best Seller: Ignore these competitors and compete with the remaining.
The following two rules are only applicable when you are the Buy Box winner:
Compete as Normal: Continue to compete based on price., i.e., take no special action.
- Increase my price: Increase my price by the fixed amount or percentage of Total Price.
