Compete based on pricing

Price competition involves competing with the lowest price and taking decisions according to your settings. It does not necessarily mean that you will have the lowest price.

Note: Our repricer never goes beyond your Min/Max prices.

Price Computation Rules:

These settings help the repricer determine your price.

You can set the repricer to reprice differently, depending on the competitors’ fulfillment type:

Amazon, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon)

SFP (Seller Fulfilled Prime)

and MFN (Merchant Fulfilled Network)

The repricer picks the lowest price competitor and then competes according to their fulfillment type.

For each competitor type, there are four options:

  • Beat by: Set your price below the competitor’s price by a specified amount, percentage, or both.

  • Price higher by: Set your price above the competitor’s price by a specified amount, percentage, or both.

  • Match: Set your price equal to the competitor’s price.

  • Ignore: Do not compete with this competitor type.

Note:

  • If you use percentages, they apply to the Total Price of the competitor, which includes both the Item Price and the Shipping Price.

  • The final price is always kept within your set minimum and maximum price limits.

  • For each competitor type, you will compete with the lowest price available.

Competition Scenarios:

For each seller type (Amazon, FBA, SFP, and MFN), you can set up your price competition based on various scenarios:

No Competition:

No competing offers are available after the competition filters are applied. This means no other sellers are offering the product under the selected conditions.

Below Your Minimum:

This happens when a competitor’s offer is priced below your minimum price. It indicates a competing offer is lower than the price you’ve set as your minimum.

Matches Your Minimum:
This means the competitor’s offer is exactly the same as your minimum price.

If a Buy Box Winner:

While competing with the lowest price, you may win the Buy Box. Here, you can set the action to take in case you are the Buy Box winner.

For each scenario, you can choose specific rules from the corresponding drop-down menu. The available rules include:

  • No Action: Do not change your price.

  • Use Minimum: Set your price to the item’s minimum price. Optionally, you can add a fixed amount or percentage to the Total Minimum Price.

  • Use Maximum: Set your price to the item’s maximum price. Optionally, subtract a fixed amount or percentage from the Total Maximum Price.

  • Average of Minimum and Maximum: Set your price to the average of the item’s minimum and maximum prices. Optionally, add or subtract a fixed amount or percentage from this average.

  • Compete with Next Best Seller: Ignore the selected competitor and compete with the next seller.

Special Rules for Buy Box Winner Scenario:
These rules apply if you are the Buy Box Winner:

  • Compete as Normal: Continue competing based on your rules.

  • Increase My Price: Increase your price by a fixed amount or percentage of the Total Price.
